We’re going to be
spending most of our trip in Utah! I’m really
excited about that, I’ve never been to Utah.
It’s a lot different than our big trip last year
to Montana. Utah has a LOT of rocks and the
trees aren’t very big. We’ve had some really
neat campsites so far. At night it gets really
dark and there are a million stars.
As soon as we get
to a new place I always jump up on the table and
wait for Mom to come in and open the windows so
I can hear and smell everything all around us.
So far there haven’t been a lot of animals,
mostly small lizards and some chipmunks. But
there are always birds to watch too, and
sometimes they land in the bushes and trees
right next to our trailer.
It’s been pretty
warm in some of the places we’ve been. Romeo
doesn’t like hot weather at all – he’s kind of
fat, and has really thick fur. When it’s hot he
just sprawls out on the dining room table all
day and barely moves. I think he’s just trying
to get Mom and Dad to feel sorry for him and go
someplace colder…..the other day it was only 84
and he was acting like he was about to melt!
In Utah it’s really dry. It’s so dry that
there’s always a lot of static electricity, and
our fur is dry so when Mom and Dad pet us
sometimes it makes sparks! At night when they
pet us in the dark you can see the sparks all
over us, that feels pretty strange. But other
than that, I really like Utah so far!
