Community Cats

No matter where we live, community cats likely live among us. Community cats are unowned cats who live outdoors. Like pet cats, they belong to the same family of cats as domestic cats.  However, community cats, also called feral cats, free-roaming cats, or street cats, may or may not be socialized or friendly to people. They can often still live full, healthy lives with their feline families in their outdoor homes. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the only humane, effective approach to community cats, and it helps them and the communities where they live.

Trapped and Neutered, these cats are being returned to their community.

A managed colony of neutered community cats gathers for dinner.
