Boo was born in April 2006, a beautiful long haired black beauty. When she was trapped the following October she was well on her way to becoming a feral cat, along with her siblings. Fortunately for them, the outdoor yard and area they claimed belonged to an animal lover and they contacted Shadow Cat to help them get the little family TNR’d. There they lived for over a decade, fed and sheltered as outdoor community cats.
Fast forward to 2017 and the two remaining cats, Boo and her sister Shadow, found themselves in an unstable situation – the guardians were moving into an apartment and had no neighbors to take over. They contacted Shadow Cats and we trapped both sisters with the plan to relocate to an experienced ranch home.
Shadow had other ideas, however! During transport, she escaped into the Wild Side area of Shadow Cats. Despite many efforts to re-trap her, it was not to be. She had made the decision to stay at Shadow Cats and while we would have liked to place them in this wonderful outdoor ranch home, she and her sister were here to stay.
Shadow passed in 2020, but Boo has acclimated well to life at Shadow Cats and maybe it’s best in her senior years to give her the peace and safety that life at Shadow Cats will bring. We love her!
