Catness was born at a hospital location in 2013 along with her two sisters, Beauty and Snarky. Catness, being the bravest of her sisters, was discovered first at just a few months old. Her mother was gone, and, thus, her feral lifestyle began.
Catness lived in a managed colony for 7 years where she was fed and looked after daily by Shadow Cats volunteers. While she remained feral, in time, she started to trust her caretakers and would come running from her brushy home when food arrived. Within a few years, she occasionally allowed her caretakers to give her a quick pet on the head.
Circumstances changed, and Catness needed to find a new home. The decision was made in January 2020 to bring her to Shadow Cats where she will always be safe and loved by the staff and volunteers.
Catness received a good bill of health with no major issues and is living her best life ever at the Sanctuary. She’s making new friends and hanging out with her two sisters. And, to the delight of her caretakers, they can continue to see her and be a part of her life!
