Arnold is a local boy, found on the streets of south Austin in December 2022. He was spotted by a local TNR group that was feeding a colony of cats. They did not recognize him so they planned to TNR him but upon trapping it was discovered Arnold had a very large raw tumor in his ear. Just by looking at him, it did not look good for poor Arnold.
The TNR group contacted Shadow Cats and we knew we had to help! This is what we do, we take on the hard cases. We had Arnold taken right away to our friends at Sam Bass Veterinary Wellness. They were able to do surgery and remove the mass and testing came back benign! It was a very happy surprise, to say the least!
Now Arnold is on the mend and living his best life in Wild Side where he has quickly become quite the love bug. It has actually taken us quite a while to get a good photo of Arnold because any time you try and photograph him he runs up and demands pets and snuggles. Arnold does not meow much but when he is happy, he trills like a bird and purrs so loud, it is the sweetest sound you ever heard!
