The Oasis area is located in the main building, so the kitties have lots of room to run, play, and sleep. Tucked on the side of Oasis’ sprawling living room is a kitchen with a baker’s window, an irresistible favorite for cats who love to lounge in the sun. Nearby is our exam room, where trained staff perform many routine and specialized medical treatments, including fluid therapy, lab collection, and in-house testing. Each cat receives a thorough weekly assessment, from mobility and heart rate to lung sounds, coat condition, and gum color. This is where our commitment to individualized, specialized care truly shines.

Leaving Oasis brings you to a fully enclosed outdoor catio, thoughtfully designed for safety and enrichment. Shelves invite sunbathing, cat trees offer perfect napping spots, and weatherproof blinds allow our cats to enjoy the outdoors they love, even on rainy days. This catio also serves a special purpose, guiding you through a swinging door to the ramp leading into Cookie’s Place.

Sponsoring the Oasis area means helping cats that are well behaved (no spraying in the house, boys!) but may have other issues that require a quiet environment. Shy or aged cats can curl up and watch the world go by in peace. The average age in this area is about 15 years old. For a variety of reasons, they ended up here, and some have lived their lives at Shadow Cats. We make every effort to ensure that each area is homelike and as comfortable as possible. While all of our cats are available for adoption, most are overlooked because of age or issues. The next best thing is your sponsorship and care.
