Bob

No, we did not start taking in farm animals, this cutie only looks like a cow! Bob came to us in mid-October 2022 after he had been left at an apartment. The woman he was left with was told he was FeLV positive and she knew she could not keep him long-term. After some searching her family found us and we agreed to take Bob if they could get him retested for leukemia. While at the vet Bob actually tested negative! The family was very confused and upset because they needed to find Bob a home ASAP due to extenuating circumstances. We agreed to still take Bob in the hopes of getting him adopted out quickly since he is just the best cat!

After Bob arrived, we did some general bloodwork on him like we do with all of our new cats, and guess what?! The bloodwork came back leukemia positive! The first test was a false negative. Unfortunately, this is pretty common with these types of tests and that is why we typically require a cat to be tested twice.

So, as it turns out Bob is in the perfect place! He has joined the crew in Cookie’s Place and he is just a ray of sunshine. Bob loves cuddles, playing with the kittens, and meowing at us with his very unique meow! Welcome home, Bob!
