Lunita was dumped in a colony in Miami, Florida in 2023. The kind and wonderful woman who was feeding that colony noticed Lunita and saw she was in bad shape. She was very small and very young and the other cats were attacking her. The kind woman was able to trap Lunita and bring her to a vet for care. She had hoped to keep Luna but she tested positive for Feline Leukemia. There are so few resources in Florida for cats in need so Luna’s rescuer eventually found us.
By the end of June, Lunita and her rescuer were on a plane to Texas and after a long trip, Lunita found her new home in Cookie’s here at Shadow Cats. Luna is a very shy and timid girl at first, but after she gets to know you she loves to cuddle and has a purr so loud it might shake the walls! You have had quite the journey, little Lunita, and we are so happy to have you!
