When we say “once a Shadow Cat, always a Shadow Cat” we truly mean it, and Marty is a prime example of that! Marty may not have been a sanctuary cat but he has always been a part of the Shadow Cats family.
Marty was trapped in Paris, Tx with a few other kitties that needed to be TNR’d. Marty turned out to be such a sweet boy that a friend of Shadow Cats decided to adopt him. Marty lived many happy years with his new mom and a few other cat friends.
Mom was a very busy healthcare professional who worked long hours and when Marty was diagnosed with diabetes things became difficult. After trying very hard for several weeks it, unfortunately, became apparent that keeping up with his diabetes was not something she would be able to take care of alone with such long work hours.
Saying goodbye to a beloved family member is never easy but she knew it was what was best for Marty to ensure his diabetes would be properly managed. In January 2023, Marty moved into the Sanctuary and is doing great! He is a shy boy but so so sweet and loving, and he has a purr so loud that it could shake the walls. Welcome, Marty!
