This spicy little girl lives up to her name! We think it’s just the calico in her but Pepper is an independent lady who knows exactly what she does and does not want, and she is not afraid to tell you about it!
Pepper spent most of her life as an office cat at a local veterinary dermatologist. She was found by one of their vet techs and had severe skin issues. It was determined she has miliary dermatitis along with eosinophilic plaques, which take daily medicating and a special cone to keep her symptoms under control. The clinic took her in and got her well and there she stayed for several years. Unfortunately, the doctor decided it was time to retire and move elsewhere. Pepper could no longer stay at the clinic and because of her special needs, she needed to go somewhere that could keep up with her medical treatments.
After visiting Shadow Cats in October 2022, they knew this would be the perfect place for Pepper! She now resides in the office. Do not let her cone fool you, she can still get into all the crazy hiding spots any cat can get into. She loves getting up high on the food shelves or hiding in the bookshelves. She has her favorite bed on the meeting table and alternates between any available laps. She is not a huge fan of her roommates but we think they will become BFFs in no time! Welcome home, Pepper!
