Vance comes to us from Dallas, Tx. He and his brother were initially part of a big TNR project. The kittens were held back to be adopted but unfortunately, Vance and his brother both tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Vance’s brother was adopted by a woman who had FeLV cats but she could only take one of the siblings. Poor Vance then went to a foster who had other kitties so he had to be kept separate. He was well loved and cared for but being kept alone in a bathroom is no life for a kitty. Try as they might they could not find a place for Vance in the Dallas area. We had an opening here so Vance made his way to Shadow Cats in early May 2023.
When Vance first arrived, he was very shy and nervous. He hid under his bed and would not come out. After a few days though and a lot of quiet visits from the team, Vance started to come out of his shell. He is now a happy confident cat who loves chin scritches and to run around and play. We are confident he will fit in well with all the other youngsters in Cookie’s Place! Welcome home, Vance!
