In Memory of Lulu 11/13/2015 – 07/02/2017
Lulu was born Nov 13, 2015 and spent her kittenhood battling giardia, ringworm and feline leukemia. She ended up in a Dallas area shelter with a grim future facing her, however, thanks to the strong rescue network in that area, she was helped and found her way to Shadow Cats. Here, she had the chance to gain her health back and spent the next 18 months living life to the fullest. She played till she dropped, she ate till she was full and she had all the laps she wanted. She spent winters snuggled into a warm bed with her best play buddies, and in the spring she felt the breeze as she watched the creek and all it’s creatures from the safety of the highest shelf in Cookie’s Place. On sunny summer days she basked in the warmth of sunbeams. She lived her best life.
Life is not fair and precious Lulu let us know it was time to let go. She was ready, and today we held her close and helped her pass. She left gently, knowing she was truly loved – so much more than many receive. We are grateful for this little life and that she graced our world. Rest easy, sweet Lulu. You are forever loved.
