In Memory of Persia 8/29/2019 – 3/26/2020
Kittens with feline leukemia have a difficult time because their immune system is not yet fully developed and today, Persia lost her battle. Our precious girl, only 7 months old, passed gently today surrounded by her caregivers. Her short life began on the streets and the Austin Animal Center and finally to Shadow Cats.
Here she had access to high ramps, lots of hidey places and plenty of friends. She enjoyed all the night life along the creek safely from the shelter of Shadow Cats. She was a shy girl but once in your arms, you could feel the shyness melt away as she cuddled into your lap and snuggled into your neck.
It is with such sadness that we had to make that difficult decision to let her cross. Our comfort – and we hope it is yours also – is knowing that her life here was one filled with joy and love and that she was a happy kitten who loved life and all those around her.
Thank you to her sponsors who helped make it possible for her to be here and to receive the care she did, and to all that loved and supported her from afar. Thank you to our kitty nannies and volunteers for the priceless love and care you gave to her each and every day.
RIP, beautiful kitten baby.
