Tickets purchased here will be printed by Shadow Cats and added to the raffle bin. Tickets may also be purchased at our 2022 An Evening with Hannah Shaw Kitten Lady event on June 25. Drawing is live at the event. You can purchase from anywhere in the US and do not have to be at the event to win. Shadow Cats will notify the winner.

Quilt Description

Known traditionally as a “coin quilt”, the use of Jason Yenter’s FloragrafixV fabric gives this quilt the feel of space, planets, and the array of colorful gases that are seen in the Universe, so it’s called Solar Flare.

This 74″ by 84″ quilt designed by Missouri Start Quilting, is a combination of pieced work and appliqué. This quilt can be used as a generous Throw, a twin/full size quilt, or as a wall hanging.

The quilt is 100% fine quality quilting cotton. It can be machine washed in a gentle cycle with cold water. Traditional line drying is always recommended, however, you may also put it in the dryer on low heat. Quilts are made to be used, loved, cuddled, and washed over and over again. They get softer and small imperfections that evolve are what give quilts character.

Note: It is important to know that this quilt is 100% handmade. It is not perfect and there will likely be a missed stitch somewhere. Additionally, quilts are expensive to make. Materials alone for each quilt are in the hundreds of dollars. Each quilt has hours of time put into them. Sometimes the simplest quilts are the most time consuming.

This quilt was pieced, appliquéd, and quilted with great love for Shadow Cats by Nancy V. Johnson.

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

2022 Gala Event – Quilt Raffle Tickets

By participating, you agree that:

  1. These Official Contest Rules may not be waived, modified, or supplemented except by Shadow Cats, Inc. No modification of these official contest rules shall be enforceable unless made by Shadow Cats, Inc.
  2. The public raffle drawing shall be held at the Shadow Cats Gala Event (An Evening with Hannah Shaw Kitten Lady) at the Round Rock Marriott on June 25.
  3. You need not be present to win.
  4. Each ticket will be entered separately in the drawing. Each ticket is a separate and equal chance of winning.
  5. Shadow Cats, Inc. shall appoint a single individual who will be responsible for maintaining control and security of all of the raffle ticket stubs. Such individual shall, by public certification under oath at the time of the drawing, certify that all raffle tickets purchased have their stub in the barrel from which the winning raffle ticket will be drawn.
  6. Winner has 7 days to accept delivery of their prize from Shadow Cats, Inc. or forfeits all claims thereto.
  7. When an order is placed over the telephone or Internet, a Shadow Cats, Inc. representative will complete the ticket(s) by filling in the name and phone number and will drop the ticket(s) in the barrel.
  8. At the drawing, the winner will be contacted based on the name and information on the ticket.
  9. Winner notification will be made by telephone or email. It will also be announced live at the drawing.
  10. Purchasers do not need their ticket stubs for any reason.
  11. Winner agrees to the use of his/her name, photograph, and statements for publicity purposes by Shadow Cats, Inc., and agrees to sign a publicity release without any further compensation.
  12. Shadow Cats, Inc. reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time, in which event its liability is limited to refund of ticket prices to participants.
  13. Any person who engages in conduct designed to corrupt the outcome of a charitable gaming activity with the purpose to defraud, or knowing that he is facilitating a fraud, is guilty of a Class D felony.
  14. Members and spouses of Shadow Cats Board of Directors are not eligible for prizes.
  15. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and is void where prohibited, taxed, or otherwise restricted.
  16. All proceeds benefit Shadow Cats, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
