Polly
Polly is a seasoned veteran of life. She began her rise from the slums of FLOCK in Pahrump, NV where she had been imprisoned by those who did terrible harm to her and her people. Miraculously, in 2007 she and over 700 of her fellow captives were freed by Best Friends Animal Society. She and sixteen others then immigrated to Shadow Cats in Texas. There, she became a citizen very quickly and spent several years educating others about the mentality of hoarding and of the condition that claimed many lives there and almost claimed hers- feline leukemia. Several years later, as part of her regular testing, it was found that her condition had become regressive and she no longer showed any evidence of the disease on veterinary testing. She was completely free!
She is following her dreams of becoming the first feline to break the glass ceiling to become president of Shadow Cats. She campaigns on equal catnip for all felines, early spay/neuter, and affordable health care. She is an advocate of “Polly Plan” to ensure every cat has access to low cost or free health care. Polly does not harbor fools easily and puts on her “Don’t Mess with Me” face whenever it best serves her or her people. Polly is a no nonsense, no pussyfooting around candidate and with her polar opposite, fun loving running mate, they promise to bring a New Attitude to Shadow Cats. She is available for meowing engagements at fees to be discussed.
Pria
Pria has it all. Brains and Beauty. She has never forgotten her lineage comes from the great cats of ancient Egypt. She uses all her attributes to swing voters her way, knowing her extreme tuxiness is a true asset. However, she’s not just eye candy. Along with Polly, Pria feels strongly about “The Polly Plan” and affordable health care for all felines. Having suffered the loss of her kitten Paisley, she feels kitten care is a necessity. She has a special interest in the CKN sub plan. (Cats, Kittens and Neonates) to help ensure that all kittens have access to humane care. She also believes strongly in every feline’s right to life and strongly supports early spay/neuter. Together, both candidates will elevate the highest levels of government at Shadow Cats. Where others go low, Polly and Pria will go high.
