Sandy

In Memory of Sandy    09/01/16 – 01/10/17

Sometimes you have to really look hard to see the positive in a situation and today is one of those days. Our precious little Sandy, only four months old, has passed from the ravages of feline leukemia.  Just a tiny one, we’d hoped she would have many years to enjoy her life at Shadow Cats but it was not to be.

Sweet Sandy was found at night on the side of the road in the rain. Poor little one was quite ill and her rescuers saved her from that hard ending. She soon came to Shadow Cats where she thrived. Although her time was too short, she was dry, warm and loved every minute of the day. She had friends and playtime and plenty of kibble. Her life was full.

Too soon the symptoms of leukemia preyed upon her but we try to remember that she did not pass alone on a nameless road. She was held, loved and cherished and that is what we hope she took with her – all the love we could possibly give her.

Her life was made better by all the volunteers at Shadow Cats, her loving sponsors and all of our friends here. Thank you for caring about this angel of a kitten. Rest in peace little Sandy.
