In Memory of Winnie 11/27/15 – 10/10/16
Sweet little Winnie left us suddenly this morning. Feline leukemia has claimed her.
We never have them long enough. We try our best to relax and enjoy every single moment we have them in our care. We love, we cuddle, we embrace, but we know that in all likelihood, they may have shorter lives and leave us sooner than we expect. It is for that reason that we pack every ounce of love and care into each moment we have with them.
Winnie came to us from a shelter situation where she was at grave risk. She came to Shadow Cats and enjoyed her life where she played hard, ate all she wanted and had all the laps she could ever want. She spent many hours on the ramps overlooking the gardens and all the activity in Cookie’s. She lived a good and happy life.
Our hearts hurt but we know she is at peace. We all grieve the loss of a little one taken too soon.
Thank you to all that cared about sweet Winnie- her sponsors who enabled her to receive everything she needed, the kitty nannies who looked after her each day and the volunteers who spent countless hours with her.
Winnie passed gently surrounded by loving hearts and hands.
